Nearly 2,000 entrepreneurs gathered at Sena Prangan on Matikata Road for the China E-commerce Business Summit 2025, organized by ARC International. The event brought together 10 successful Chinese business leaders to share insights on cross-border e-commerce, product sourcing, and digital trade opportunities.
The summit highlighted Bangladesh’s growing interest in importing quality Chinese products at competitive prices. Speaking at the event, Ibrahim Hossain Prince, Managing Director of ARC International, said that Chinese goods continue to dominate the local market due to their affordability, reliability, and high demand.
Prince emphasized that the primary goal of the summit is to help entrepreneurs easily identify “winning products” and ensure smooth import and distribution services. “Our aim is to make product sourcing easier for new entrepreneurs so they can enter the market confidently and scale their businesses faster,” he said.
He also noted that simplified import support and product availability will not only enrich the marketplace but also create new employment opportunities, helping reduce unemployment across the country. “If entrepreneurs can import quality products without hassle, it will accelerate business growth and expand job opportunities,” he added.
The summit was attended by representatives from various sectors, including digital commerce, retail, logistics, and trading. Government guest Bellal Hossain Khan, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, stated that collaboration with China’s technological expertise could help Bangladesh integrate more effectively into global digital markets.
Speakers at the event stressed that boosting import-export knowledge, strengthening business partnerships, and making product marketing more accessible will play an important role in expanding the country’s e-commerce ecosystem.
The day-long summit concluded with the hope that stronger Bangladesh–China business cooperation will pave the way for more competitive markets, better product availability, and opportunities for thousands of new entrepreneurs.
